PART TIME POSITION

• 30-35hrs per week
• Typical hours 6:00 am to 3pm, 4 days a week
• No call, weekends or Holidays

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an OR nurse, you will provide the nursing care our patients receive before, during and after surgery. Our patients will count on you to communicate and advocate on behalf of their physical and emotional well-being to their family, other staff and physicians. Our patients are diverse in their needs and you will see patients of all ages from neonatal to geriatric populations.

Other responsibilities include:

• Direct or perform the functions and activities in the ambulatory surgery area following evidence-based policies, procedures and standards.
• RN that possesses a positive attitude, passion for rural healthcare, and a commitment to "community" to join our healthcare team
• Primary duties include admitting and discharge of patients, prepping patient charts for surgery, and making phone calls to patients and providers as needed. Assist anesthesia services with blocks.
• Communicate pertinent information to Anesthesia and Surgeons.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Current Iowa Registered Nurse License
• Current ACLS and PALS certification or eligible to obtain
• Good IV skills and Heart Rhythm interpretation preferred.
• Epic experience preferred
