FULL TIME POSITION

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an HIM Coder you will have a broad range of duties including but not limited to: Coding (which may include inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory claims) Record analysis/maintenance and release of information.

Other responsibilities include:

• Codes records with appropriate ICD-10CM, PCS, HCPCS and CPT codes
• Reviews documentation and charges for completeness.
• Performs chart analysis on patient records and routes to appropriate department for physician for completion.
• Maintains patient documentation and that patient records are treated as confidential information.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Coding experience required
• CCA, CCS or AAPC coding credential encouraged but not required.
