Stevens Engineers & Constructors has an excellent opportunity for highly motivated Business Analyst to join our Corporate IT Team at our Canonsburg, PA office. The Business Analyst responsible for and competent in understanding of key system functionality and configuration, business process flow; identify, maintain systems. For support of the departments and functional groups.
The Business Analyst assists in end user system administration and configuration; collects specifications and develops reports, data extracts and integrations\automations to support multiple business area including daily, monthly, annual, and ad hoc information needs.
The Business Analyst works cross functionally to provide analytical support and insight into methods of illustrating process, inspection, and monitoring data.
Essential Job Functions
Provide first-level support to users of the department/functional area systems and reporting environment.
Resolve problems and answer questions related to the end-user systems, third party and internal, reporting and environment; contact vendor support when necessary; facilitate problem resolution with optimum speed and efficiency.
Work closely with business and management teams to understand their processes, data and reporting and information needs, elicit and write business requirements and develop reporting and other solutions to meet business and team objectives.
Design custom views for illustrating process results or summaries of large sets of data by interpreting the sources of data and deviation.
Provide technical guidance by trouble shooting systems, resolving problems and answering questions related to key third party and custom internal systems. Assist and participate in preparation and execution of system updates and internal application migration.
Serve as the liaison between Functional Departments and IT by identifying and writing user requirements, defining, and refining performance objectives, metrics, data sources and analytics.
Establish, administer, and monitor end user security in the end-user systems and reporting environment including the setting of appropriate end-user data control levels.
Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end user reviews for new systems, modified and new reporting processes, and other post-implementation support.
Communicate changes and enhancements to third party or internal systems and reporting tools to the team or department, as well as external customers and other internal users.
Establish and maintain strong end user and management trust and confidence.
Conduct research and analysis to make recommendations on new tools and enhancements for process and reporting functions.
Documentation/Training and procedures to conduct training.
Skills
Solid quantitative and analytical skills, combined with the ability to formulate insights, present a compelling case for action, and deliver expert advice and recommendations.
Considerable exposure to the operation and analysis of relational database software and standards a plus.
Proven experience writing for end user requirements, and business process documentation.
Proven ability to present and explain system information to diverse types of audiences in a way that establishes rapport and gains understanding.
Exposure to industrial construction industry a plus.
Excellent organization, program/project management skills.
Excellent communication skills.
