New Path Vision of North Wales DBA Sterling Optical is a busy optometry and optical sales practice located in the Montgomery Mall. We pride ourselves in providing the best eye care and eyewear frame selections around. We work hard to make sure our customers leave happy and with a smile on their faces.

We are seeking a full-time Optometrist to join the team. We DO NOT follow mall hours so your schedule will look as follows: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 11am to 6pm; Fridays, 11am to 7pm; and Saturdays, 10am to 5pm. We are closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Diagnose and treat visual problems.
• Manage diseases, injuries and other disorders of the eyes.
• Prescribe eyeglasses or contact lenses as needed.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers on continuum of care for patients as needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws.
• Participate in best practices and quality initiatives when delivering advanced care.
• Adhere to ethical standards of conduct as well as applicable state and federal laws.
• Work collaboratively with all members of the clinical care team and demonstrate respect for all colleagues.
• Security patient information and maintain patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; keeping patient information confidential.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
• Follow HIPAA protocols.
• Follow all PMA policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Optometrist (OD) Education and Experience Requirements:

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) Degree from an accredited institution required.
• License in good standing to practice Optometry in the State of Pennsylvania prior to beginning employment required.
• National Provider Identification (NPI) required.
• Prior clinical optometry experience in a retail, educational, or medical office setting a plus; all are welcome to apply.
• This position requires the ability to communicate and exchange information, utilize equipment necessary to perform the job, and move about the office.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
