Job Summary :

The Maintenance Mechanic plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of a three-shift manufacturing facility by performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting equipment issues.

This position involves utilizing a variety of machinery and technical skills to maintain and repair plant equipment.

Job Duties :

• Respond promptly to breakdowns and failures on the plant floor, diagnosing and resolving issues efficiently.
• Troubleshoot and correct equipment malfunctions, utilizing tools such as cut-off saws, lathes, surface grinders, and drill presses for fabricating and machining parts.
• Grease and lubricate bearings, gearboxes, and rollers across all sections of the plant to ensure smooth operation.
• Conduct regular checks on gearbox seals and assist with preventive maintenance on plant equipment to prevent breakdowns.
• Maintain a strong focus on food safety, food defense, and food quality standards.
• Fulfill any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or GED required; Post High School education preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and management.
• Ability to lift 50-100 lbs. on a regular basis and handle objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Capable of working on feet for the entire shift, demonstrating stamina and physical endurance.
