Position Summary

Oversees and manages the implementation of the annual employee training and development plans of the Device Repair facility employee population. Ensures ISO Standards Training. Serves as the facility repository of Training Programs (Technical and Competency Training) to include all product categories such as flex, ultrasound flex, optics, power, video, fiber, and assembly. This will include but not limited to the following: 1) Ensuring Training Plans are in place for Exempt and Non-Exempt employees and management; 2) Product Category Training Plans are in place of technical and non-technical skills development; standard work instructions are up to date and available; 3) On the job training documents; 4) Departmental skills matrix; and 5) New Hire technical skills development; 5) Ensures Compliance/QMS and record retention.

Administratively, oversees and project manages the development and execution of the tactical plans created for advancing the development of the Operations Team, driving all related processes and activities to meet their scheduled goals and timelines and tracks and analyzes information related to Technician on-the-job development. Prepares Training material such as powerpoints, user manuals, and after training evaluations. Ensures accurate record-keeping, analyzes the effectiveness of the tactical plans, and advises management of progress and improvement opportunities.

Analyses data components and creates dashboards to understand skills and knowledge transfer and adherence to strategy and annual tactical plans. Identifies areas of improvement in alignment of Standard Work Instructions and OJT skills. Identifies departmental development activity gaps in knowledge transfer and consistency and makes recommendations. Administers post technical skills training, tests/evaluations to validate skills development success. Assesses and measures effectiveness of the development processes. Develops and administers the repository database for all relevant information.

Duties

Operations Development Responsibilities:

*Develops and maintains the Annual Skills Development Strategy and creates Annual Training Plans based on the assessment of needed skills.
*Leads the planning and implementation of tactical plans to ensure each department has completed Work Instructions per project schedule, On-the-Job (OJT) skills documents, a skills matrix, and new hire skills development training plan. Will lead exempt and non-exempt skills development leveraging the Training and Development Department.
* Collaborates with subject matter experts in Ops Management, Operations Managers, Supervisors and Technical Specialists, Continuous Improvement to ensure Technical Skills Development materials and programs are identified and developed to meet Product Categories Technical needs and requirements.
*Evaluates and compares varying courses of action and makes suggestions and recommendations to Ops Management on skills building criteria to assess employee's skill level. Ops Management regularly relies and accepts these recommendations.
*From an administrative perspective, organizes, tracks and oversees technical skills development processes and activities are taking place regularly, and tracks data related to Technician on the job development.
*Collaborates with the Training & Development Department in the design and development of training materials, learning systems, graphics, and other material needed for skills development and training. Collaborates with Continuous Improvement Department to ensure alignment to Lean Principles.
*Ensures accurate records are kept in order to validate skills development, cadence of skills training, and ensure compliance.
*Captures skillset requirements from the Work Instructions to On-The-Job Training (OJT) skills documents and ensures review and approval by Device Repair Operations Management.
*Maintain training targets for multiple repair product categories by working with the Ops Repair Production, Facility Management, to develop action plans for facility employees to follow.
*Maintains employee transcripts of technical skills development records at the individual Technician level, New Hire Training, and Technician Retraining programs in accordance with company guidelines.
*Maintains and updates catalogs of Work Instructions, OJT documents, Technical Skill Development Records, Skills Matrix and New Hire Training.
*Verifies training participants, technical competencies, and completion of training programs.

Analyst Responsibilities:

* Manages and monitors evaluation data collected from stakeholders through surveys, interviews, focus groups, community forums, and online reporting tools. This includes developing quality control protocols and procedures. This will include some data entry.
* Develops, implements, monitors completion of post training evaluations. Aggregates results from evaluations and captures trends, conducts analysis and reports back to Operations Management Team.
* Aggregates and analyzes quantitative and qualitative data to document key program processes, outputs and outcomes.
* Provides dashboards of progress regularly to the Device Repair Operations Management Teams. Influences the Operations Team to ensure Training is consistently completed in all Product Categories.

Required Experience

* 4 years in working with members of Management in the management and completion of projects.
* 4 years of experience in coordinating processing, administrative work, and data from multiple departments.
* 2 years of experience tracking and capturing data raw data and gaining insight of trends.
* 4 years of experience overseeing logistics in the development of Work Instructions, OJTs, Skills Matrix and new hire training.
* 3 years of experience coordinating, tracking and organizing, accurate records of skills development, skills matrix and employee participation.

Education Degree
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Experience

* Associate's or Bachelor's degree.

*Ability to make independent choices free from immediate direction or supervision.

*Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff in-person and via telephone.

*Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

*Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn new software programs and systems.

*Excellent analytical skills, and the ability to convert information and needs into practical technical or non-technical skills development deliverables.

*Ability to manage ad-hoc projects as requested by senior leaders.

*Ability to work with Subject Matter Experts and develop procedures, work instructions, OJT's, and manuals.
