Stenger & Stenger, P.C. is a multi-state firm that specializes in retail consumer debt collections, headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to accuately record the transactions of our growing firm. On a daily basis, you will record financial transactions, including cashreceipts, into the correct consumer account and verify they are accurate. Our ideal candidate has worked as a professional Bookkeeper for at least three years and has experience managing company accounts. 

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

• Review financial transactions for accuracy
• Input transactions into the correct ledger
• Reconcile receipts and consumer accounts
• Pay vendors as they come due
• Make deposits and record all cash receipts

Preferred Skills:

• Proven bookkeeping experience
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
• Proficiency in MS Office
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and work in a team environment

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• 2-year accounting degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• Proficient with ERP systems and Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication and math skills
• Understand how to balance and reconcile large amounts of data
