As a Scrum Master, you will have a vital role in directing and supporting our agile process to build a next-generation software solution that investment teams across all areas of our business will use to make better-informed investment decisions. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive the successful delivery of a critical multi-year project. Responsibilities
Direct the Agile development process and ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Guide and coach the development team on Agile principles and practices, promoting self-organization and cross-functional collaboration.
Work closely with the product owner and technical lead to prioritize and refine the product backlog, ensuring the team is working on the most valuable features.
Manage and resolve any impediments that may prevent the team from achieving their sprint goals and take necessary actions to ensure project success.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the team to reflect on their outcomes and identify areas for growth.
Actively promote and ensure adherence to Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban, advocating for Agile values and principles.
Facilitate communication and coordination between different stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
2 years of project management experience
Familiarity with the software development lifecycle
Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to address challenges and remove obstacles for the team.
Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects on time.
Proven experience as a Scrum Master in a software development or IT project management role, preferably within the Financial Services industry.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, frameworks, and principles.
Demonstrated ability to lead and guide Agile development teams, fostering a collaborative and self-empowered work environment.
Strong knowledge of and hands-on experience with Azure Boards.
Comfortable with presenting project updates to an executive-level audience.
