Title: Business Analyst

Location: Lansing, MI (Local candidates within 1.5 hr drive only)

Job Description:

This role involves serving as a liaison between DHHS business partners and development teams, gathering requirements, facilitating meetings, and producing essential project documentation. Please note that this position requires a hybrid work schedule, with 2 days a week in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather requirements from business users, assess business needs, and identify IT solution integration.
• Conduct GAP analysis and SWOT analysis.
• Design technical and business requirement documentation, including wireframes, context diagrams, and workflow diagrams.
• Utilize Agile methodology/SCRUM processes and ceremonies, including Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospective.
• Work with Azure DevOps backlog management, Kanban board, Sprint board, etc.
• Elicit and decompose requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Write test plans and use cases.
• Apply Systems Engineering Methodology (SEM) and Project Management Methodology (PMM).
• Demonstrate a senior-level understanding of the secure application development lifecycle (SADLC).
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience gathering requirements from users, identifying impacted business processes, and assessing business needs.
• 5 years of experience designing technical and business requirement documentation, including wireframes, context diagrams, and workflow diagrams.
• 5 years of experience with Agile methodology/SCRUM processes and ceremonies.
• 3 years of experience working with Azure DevOps backlog management.
• Experience writing test plans and use cases.
• Working knowledge of Systems Engineering Methodology (SEM) and Project Management Methodology (PMM).
