The ideal candidate will be mentored by industry experts and leaders while working closely with corporate and government customers in preparation for a career in Information Technology.

Stellar Solutions seeks a motivated self-starting and innovative Computer Science and/or Cybersecurity student to join our team with the 2024 Summer Internship program. The Stellar Chantilly, VA office is the essential link between internal employees and government customers users as we evolve and mature various functions across our IT enterprise.

This family-owned business is a high-paced dynamic environment and is looking for a personable, and energetic professional to work on location in our Chantilly, VA business office.

Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have ample opportunity to make a difference by providing high impact support for critical DoD and IC technology programs to shape future IT systems while applying your education to satisfy our customers' critical needs in IT, explore systems engineering and integration, program management, and strategic planning.

In this role, you will gain knowledge and experience:

• Network device configuration
• Tier 1 hardware
• Tier 2/3 break/fix
• Systems administration, including account creation and cyber defense
• Use of Agile tools
• Website development and maintenance

Required Qualifications

• US Citizenship
• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance
• Currently enrolled in a Computer Science or Cybersecurity discipline at an accredited college or university
• Obtain a 3.5 or higher GPA
• Completed at least two years of study (or equivalent experience)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, building and managing spreadsheets
• Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Highly reliable self-starter, can be counted on to complete assignments
• Work effectively in both small teams and independently

Desired Qualifications / Skills / Experience

• Proficiency in Microsoft Project and/or other scheduling applications
• Proficiency in identifying and assessing technical program risks
• Experience in coordinating and executing program development opportunities
• Experience interfacing with external stakeholders and customers

The pay rate for the Summer Internship postion is USD $28.00 per hour.

Deliverable(s)

Provide weekly, quarterly, and end of internship project assessments, notes, and reporting related to your experiences and gaining knowledge of the programs assigned.
