Job Summary:

This position is responsible for performing general tasks for multiple production areas within our plants.

Essential Functions:

• Works within parameters of established production standards in assigned areas

• Maintains quality of finished product per specifications

• Completes various production tasks including but not limited to: Sorting, reviewing, and labeling products; loading and unloading machines

• Maintains departmental housekeeping standards

• Consults with the lead and supervisor regarding current work assignments

• Operates non-motorized equipment, as requested by lead or supervisor, such as Hand Pallet Jack

• Assists in setting up production areas and lines

• May be required to gain working knowledge of other areas

• Follows and enforces all GMP, safety and all other company’s policies and procedures

• Helps train other employees on essential production functions

• Works scheduled hours and overtime as required

• Must be able to count, compare values and use basic math.

• Able to understand and identify products codes and labels.

• Able to complete and pass safety trainings

• Must be able to communicate fluently in English or Spanish

Environmental Conditions:

• Constant exposure to temperatures as low as 45 degrees above and/or below. Occasional exposure to temperature below -10 degrees

• Exposure to small amounts of diluted cleaning chemicals

• May work in a damp and wet environment daily

Physical Requirements:

• Required standing for long periods of time and moving throughout the assigned area

• Perform continuous repetitive motions

• Ability to grasp production items

• Ability to move items from/to below the waist and/or above shoulder level

• Continuous lifting/carrying product up to 50 pounds.

• Frequent kneeling, pushing and pulling.

• Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times on the production floor.
