Position: Operations - Warehouse Associate Reports to: Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Assistant Manager Location: Glendale, Wisconsin Type: Non-ExemptSummary: Under supervision, the Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, sorting, shipping and storing merchandise, plus transporting orders between the breakdown Department, and the Warehouse as assigned. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.Read order sheet and pull merchandise accurately for delivery in an efficient mannerSort according to order and package/palletize for shipping to stores.Label according to store location and complete paperwork by turning it into Manager to be data entered.Transport materials and items from receiving or sort areas to storage or to other designated areas using a hand truck.Maintain an orderly, clean and safe working environment.Transport materials and items from receiving or sort areas to storage or to other designated areas using a forklift or hand truck.Place merchandise in appropriate location and maintain Warehouse; ensure neat and orderly storage of materials.Pull merchandise according to order, label and take to shipping area for distributionPerforms warehousing and merchandise handling tasks in all phases of operationsNotify Manager of low inventory supply.Periodically, take inventory of material, equipment and supplies in storage as assigned.Maintain an orderly, clean and safe working environment.Inspecting and maintaining forklift on a daily basis.Employment Requirements:High School diploma or equivalent.Ability to learn or is currently skilled at operating warehouse equipment, including forklifts and hand truck.Able to follow written instructions.Team player, to be able to work with group to achieve goals.Prefer 1 to 3 years verifiable related experience.Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
