POSITION OVERVIEW: Responsible for brainstorming, creating, and transforming ideas into final design solutions that may include web content, articles, advertisements, publications, eblasts, social media posts, blog posts, flyers, and other collateral as needed. Provide art direction on photo and video shoots, as well as management of the shoots when needed and directed by the Director of Marketing & PR. Work with a creative team and contribute to developing unique concepts that further our luxury brands. Utilize what makes our properties appealing to consumers through design in all advertising efforts. Ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of design fundamentals as they pertain to print and digital media and advertising. Design experience to include a working knowledge of web design, and production design including typography, layout, and digital file preparation. Experience managing projects from the initial launch to final print and digital materials. Experience in project management a plus.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for template creation for a variety of mediums including print ads, digital ads, emails, and web pages
• Understand target audiences and key in on specific visuals, layouts and appropriate tone and emotion for applicable audiences
• Follow Stein Collection brand guidelines to monitor and police brand usage
• Ensure consistency of brand, messaging, tone, visuals, etc. for each property under Stein Collection
• Assist with strategy, implementation, development, and production of effective marketing campaigns
• Manage assigned projects with communication and follow-up to ensure timely completion by deadlines
• Work cohesively with internal departments and teams with projects and needed assets
• Work with Senior Graphic Designer to expand knowledge of design and collaboration on large projects
• Research competitors and stay up to date on market trends
• Able to collaboratively work with marketing team, contracted photographers, videographers, and production companies to complete projects and ensure accuracy in final product on a deadline.
• Administrate the creation and publishing of relevant, original, high-quality content with feedback from the internal marketing team and Director of Marketing & PR
• Oversee planning, scheduling, execution, collaboration and direction for photo shoots and video shoots, as needed
• Assist Director of Marketing & PR with public relations including researching media/influencers and hosting as needed
• Assist Director of Marketing & PR with meetings and events as needed
• Have basic photography skills with an eye for detail

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strategic thinking is a must
• Experience with web content design and layout (HTML not required)
• Experience with print collateral, ad design and layout (short and long form)
• Experience with digital content and ad design/layout. HTML-5 for Google Ads experience a plus
• Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in visual formats
• Punctuality and superior time management is a must
• Ability to work independently without supervision as well as in a fast-paced, team environment
• Is a team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees with necessary, but also to work collaboratively and listen to other team members ideas
• Has a good technical understanding and can pick up new tools and skills quickly
• The desire to grow and expand design experience

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree in graphic design or similar completed college coursework required
• 3 years design experience preferred
• Experience in hospitality a plus
• Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Acrobat
• Understanding of marketing fundamentals, e-commerce, content marketing, campaign development and marketing promotions
• Knowledge of Mac based platforms, Acoustic and PowerPoint preferred
