Steeler Inc has branches serving across the Western United States and Canada year-round.
For several properties on Hat Island, WA Steeler Inc. is seeking an onsite handyman with serious maintenance and landscaping experience that can handle a wide range of jobs. This person would provide services such as clearing lots, tree removal, groundskeeping, rebuilding decks, and outside repair. You will also perform general maintenance work to maintain houses on the property and other special projects as needed including, but not limited to, renovations, remodels, concrete and brick work, siding and roofing, and electrical line upgrades, and plumbing repairs/upgrades.
The ideal candidate for this position should be willing to move to Hat Island, WA to ensure that all the properties are maintained well at all times. The Housing to stay on Hat Island will be provided (on a contract).
***Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required!
Qualifications:
· Proven experience as maintenance technician.
· Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
· Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
· Experience in ground maintenance or landscaping experience.
· Ability to multitask and manage several responsibilities.
· Work with minimal supervision staying on task.
· Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
· Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime when emergencies occur.
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Reliable vehicle and driver's license.
· Lift up to 50lbs.
· Pass a background check and a drug screen.
· Authorized to work in the US.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $35.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Ability to Relocate:
- Seattle, WA 98178: Relocate before starting work (Required)
