Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Personal Lines Insurance Account Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients, assisting with account management, and ensuring compliance with insurance regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a customer-centric approach, and a thorough understanding of personal lines insurance.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide prompt, accurate, and courteous service to insureds, account executives, and insurance companies regarding personal lines accounts.
  • Report and service open claims, ensuring timely communication and resolution for insureds, sales representatives, and insurance companies.
  • Assist in enforcing procedures and insurance regulations within the department to maintain compliance.
  • Utilize agency automation effectively and adhere to all agency systems procedures and insurance company regulations.
  • Handle telephone inquiries and new business referrals, collecting necessary information and completing applications.
  • Maintain organized customer files and process incoming mail in a timely manner.
  • Review and order necessary renewals at least 60 days prior to expiration, preparing proposals for new and renewal accounts as required.
  • Report claim information promptly to insurance companies and follow up to ensure timely and accurate settlement.
  • Address customer inquiries regarding claim status and provide guidance on necessary processes for claim settlement.
  • Identify and communicate potential business practices that may lead to errors and omissions (E&O) claims to management.
  • Participate in agency-sponsored training programs, meetings, and continuing education classes to maintain insurance license and stay updated on industry trends.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
  • Active P&C Insurance License is mandatory.
  • 2 Years of experience with Personal Lines
  • Experience with AMS 360 is a plus.
  • Previous insurance experience preferred, particularly within an independent agency environment.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
