Stately Doors and Windows is Hiring an Assistant Estimator Near Irving, TX

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an assistant estimator. You will work closely with our estimator to support project estimating and bidding processes, gaining valuable hands-on experience and insight into the intricacies of our industry. This role is ideal for someone looking to break into the field and embark on a rewarding career path in estimating.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the estimator in preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for high-end doors and windows projects, including material and labor costs, subcontractor bids, and other relevant expenses.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs and measurements from architectural plans and specifications to determine project requirements.
  • Compile and organize bid documents, including proposals, contracts, and specifications, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Support the estimator in analyzing project scope, specifications, and requirements to identify potential risks, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Assist in reviewing project plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance and alignment with client expectations and industry standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and documentation of project estimates, bids, and related correspondence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field would be a plus.
  • Previous experience or knowledge of construction estimating principles and practices is a plus, but not required. This position is suitable for entry-level candidates eager to learn and develop new skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to perform thorough take-offs and measurements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other relevant software applications.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive attitude towards professional development and growth.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $47,000.00 per year
