The School of Music is home to numerous faculty and staff members dedicated to providing students with engaging and meaningful classes for future educators. We offer programs in Applied Music, Performance, Music Education, Music Therapy, Composition and Sound Recording Technology at the undergraduate level, and Performance, Music Education and Music Therapy at the graduate (Master's) level.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES
Reporting to the Dean of the School of Music, the successful candidate will:
Coordinate Professional Semester experiences;
Teach music education coursework in the candidate's specialty;
Attend Music Education Committee meetings and participate in the organizational work of the area;
Participate in recruiting for the Music Education area;
Contribute to curriculum development and refinement;
Provide academic advisement to students;
Participate in committees and provide service to the department, college, university, and profession, and
Be aware of, understand, and follow all university policies.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master's Degree in Music Education, Music Performance or equivalent;
Experience teaching in collegiate settings;
Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively, and in a collegial and professional manner with students, faculty and staff;
Demonstrated commitment to the university, division, and profession.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience supervising and coordinating student teachers;
Strong professional writing/communication skills;
Previous K-12 teaching experience;
Skills with technology including video editing, spreadsheet management, etc;
Strong Musicianship;
Strong teaching skills
Additional Information:
This is a full-time, Temporary Lecturer position beginning Fall 2023 .
