DSHS ESA Support Enforcement Officer 3 (Customer Service) Are you interested in expanding and growing your current skills?As a Customer Service Support Enforcement Officer Lead you will offer direction and training in all areas of child support collection and enforcement. You will provide technical expertise with changes in laws, policies and procedures to the team. This is a great opportunity with the Division of Child Support Customer Service Team in The Olympia Field Office.Join us in Transforming Lives! Some of what you'll be doingTrain staff in all aspects of child support collections/enforcementReview work and explains child support laws and proceduresAudit work and work flow to meet Federal and State guidelinesFirst line of contact for conflict resolution of debt and other child support related concernsReview and make determination on child support distribution issuesMake critical casework decisions such as initiating, preparing, signing, and serving administrative and legal support enforcement actionsEstablish Administrative Child Support Orders by researching and locating income informationAnalyze, interpret, and apply State, Tribal, Federal, and International laws pertaining to paternity determinationCalculate complex financial and medical child support obligations and arrearagesAssist with developing and implementing training plans and performance management plans.What we are looking for: Knowledge of State statutes and Federal regulations, legal rights and remedies in support enforcementExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to multi-task, prioritize workload, and be responsive to changeKnowledge of paternity proceeding, accounting and collection practicesCase management skills to manage a large, growing, and diverse caseloadInvestigative and interview skills to find information from various sources Who should apply: Professional with at least two years of experience as a Support Enforcement Officer in the state of Washington Along with your online application, please submit: Current resume 4 professional references with contact information Cover letter indicating what draws your interest in the Customer Service Support Enforcement Officer 3 positionOur Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) mission to Transform Lives requires that we come together with a sense of belonging, common purpose, shared values and meaningful work.
