Support Enforcement Officer 4 The Division of Child Support (DCS) has an opportunity for a Support Enforcement Officer 4 (Supervisor) in Olympia. You will supervise a cross functional team of varying job classes, provide key leadership and a vision consistent with our mission to Transform Lives, and take an active role in ensuring continued support and excellent customer service to Field Offices and the families we serve.Your ability to supervise and train staff while promoting positivity will greatly enhance your success in this job. Some of what you will do: Supervise and train Support Enforcement Officers, Support Enforcement Technicians, and Office Assistants in all aspects of performing program functions Establish team procedures and expectations and evaluate staff performance Participate in recruitment, hiring, and selection of staff Assess training needs and coach and mentor staff Act on behalf of other SEO 4s in their absence Provide input on policy clarifications, emergency procedures (canary notices), and manuals for DCS statewide Perform special audit functions based on questions, complaints, and claims from clients, the public, and the legislature; conducts specialized statewide auditsManage workflow of Office Assistant, Support Enforcement Technicians, and Support Enforcement Officer staff and assess training needs to ensure a high volume of work is able to be completed to meet strict federal timelinesWhat we're looking for someone that can: Resolve problems effectively and work with others to develop and implement solutions Gain a deep knowledge of state statutes, Federal regulations, Federal case processing standards, court decisions, Attorney General's opinion, and departmental regulations in relation to the program. Supervise, coach, evaluate, and provide feedback on the performance of technical, professional, and other staff performing support enforcement activities Maintain confidentiality in and outside of the workplace, and conduct effective meetings Negotiate and persuade using professional judgmentWork professionally with Assistant Attorney General, county prosecutors, court justices and debtors and their legal counselTravel based on business needsWho should apply?Professionals with two years of college-level coursework. And Four years of experience related to child support enforcement and/or debt collection-related functions, including three years of experience as a Support Enforcement Officer. And Six months of supervisory experience or coordinating and participating in the planning, development, implementation, evaluation, analysis, and enhancement of functions, programs, and processes or six months experience as a Support Enforcement Officer 3.
