State of South Carolina is Hiring a Program Manager II - 60027630 Near Columbia, SC

The Director of the Office of Early Learning & Literacy is responsible for promoting reading and learning among young students in South Carolina. The director will lead the Read to Succeed and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) initiatives in coordination with the State Superintendent of Education and the Chief Academic Officer. The objective is to ensure that every child acquires a solid literacy foundation for academic and lifelong success. This role involves implementing education policies, curricula, teaching methods, and systemic improvements in K-12 education across South Carolina to achieve high-quality outcomes for all students.

The person in this position will engage in Strategic Leadership: craft and annually refresh a strategic plan that amplifies student learning outcomes, aligning with the State Superintendent's vision and our agency's goals. Guide and inspire your team to achieve excellence in implementing and evaluating this plan's impact. Program Oversight: Manage the development and success of literacy specialists, coaching initiatives, and early childhood programs. Ensure these programs are built on data-driven insights and meet all legislative requirements while monitoring their effectiveness. Research and Innovation: Direct rigorous research to evaluate educational policies and programs. Translate findings into actionable strategies that boost student achievement, fostering a culture of innovation. Partnership Development: Forge strong relationships with educational stakeholders to pool resources and expertise, driving towards shared goals of academic excellence. Thought Leadership: Establish yourself as a leading voice in literacy and early childhood education. Influence and inform through compelling presentations to various audiences, including policymakers, educators, and the community. Team Development: Cultivate an inspiring work environment that attracts and nurtures top talent. Promote a forward-thinking, collaborative, and continuous learning culture.

This position is located in the Office of Early Learning and Literacy.

A bachelor's degree and relevant program management experience.
