State of South Carolina is Hiring a Prog Coord II - 60013485 - FMO/ENV Near Richland, SC

Manages and oversees the Cultural Resource Program. Leads the completion of Section 106 reviews for all proposed actions and conducts cultural resources investigations in support of environmental analysis under the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). Coordinates cultural resources studies, including Phase I surveys and subsequent reports of findings as well as coordinates all correspondence to outside agencies (i.e., State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO), curation repositories, history offices, archaeological organizations, clubs, Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and/or Tribal representatives. Oversees the development and implementation of the South Carolina Army National Guard’s Integrated Cultural Resources Management Plan (SCARNG ICRMP), manages the Native American Consultations Program, and participates in public outreach efforts to promote resource management stewardship.Bachelor’s degree in the fields of art, art history, anthropology, archeology, architectural history, historic preservation, history, or any other discipline in the area of cultural resources. A minimum of three years of professional experience in the research, analysis and evaluation of cultural resources for environmental evaluation purposes. Applicant must meet the Secretary of the Interiors Professional Qualifications Standards in History, Archeology, or in Historic Architecture.Master’s degree in one of the disciplines and two years of the required experience. Skill in technical writing and oral communication principles, and interpersonal relations practices. Knowledge of Department of Defense, Army, Air National Guard Bureau, and Department of Interior (primarily Bureau of Land Management) regulations and policies relating to cultural resource management. Experience and knowledge of administrative programming, planning, and budgeting techniques and procedures to address current and long-range cultural resource management, including procurement needs, cost estimates, and supporting justification. South Carolina driver’s license required. Some overnight travel is required. Outdoor work in extreme environmental conditions occasionally required. Maintain presence of work area at the Adjutant General’s office complex in Columbia, SC. A resume will not be accepted in lieu of an online South Carolina State Employment Application.
