• Provide preventive maintenance and repairs on all HVACR systems including mechanical systems such as Low Pressure Boilers, Chillers, Cooling Towers, and Pumps, Hydronic Piping Systems: Electric and Gas Fired Domestic Water Heaters, Hydronic Unit Ventilators, Fan Coils, Air Handlers, and all varieties of Direct Expansion Systems, Control Air Compressors, High Volume Air Compressors, Air Dryers, and related components, Exhaust and Fresh Air Systems, DDC and Pneumatic Controls, Commercial Ice Makers, Reach-In / Walk-In Coolers and Freezers. Utilize the college's maintenance management system to enter or receive and complete all work orders. 
• Act as the lead HVAC technician for the Giles and Union Campuses. Assist the technicians for the Union and Tyger Rivers Campuses to oversee the completion of preventive maintenance and repairs. Oversee contracted maintenance and repairs on the Giles and Tyger River Campuses, to include but not limited to water sample collection, critical equipment service, life safety equipment service, back-flow preventer inspections, and service to various other assets the College owns. 
• Monitor, repair, and calibrate the College's building automation system, utilize the system to maintain rooms to design temperatures and monitor on a regular basis to ensure occupant comfort is maintained. Assist with facility equipment scheduling. Aid maintaining the system and assist on in-house upgrades and installations. 
• Assist with renovations or modifications conducted by or supervised by the Campus Operations department. May take lead technician role or lead coordination with trade contractors on special projects.
• Assist with the College's Indoor Air Quality program as required which involves requested and random sampling, inspections, and remediation if necessary. Assist with the College's energy conservation program as required which involves auditing energy usage, measuring and monitoring energy use at requested and random intervals. 
• Assist other technicians with a variety of specific maintenance duties as directed by the supervisors in areas other than HVAC and contract work as needed. 
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. 

Associate degree plus 2 years directly related work experience
OR
High school diploma plus 4 years directly related work experienceAssociate degree in HVACR with experience in hot and chilled water systems, D/X, ventilation systems, electric and electronic controls, motor control centers (single and three phase), and lighting systems, and be able to read blueprints and understand specifications and wiring schematics.
