State of South Carolina is Hiring an Academic Training Coordinator, PBI ACE Competitive Grant Near Sumter, SC

Provides faculty training through workshops, classes and one-on-one sessions. Designs lessons and workshop materials, including the selection and organization of content, methods and assessments to accomplish learning objectives. Promotes the use of technology in the classroom and develops and provides faculty training on educational software and teaching with technology. Works collaboratively with the Office of Distance Learning to train faculty with using D2L Brightspace. Works with faculty to increase student usage of tutoring and supplemental instruction and promotes the use of BrainFuse and other student support resources at the College. Organizes and trains Learning Assistants who are providing support for students. Coordinates a formal process for faculty development which includes both full-time and adjunct faculty. Facilities Communities of Practice and the faculty coaching program. Conducts research about training content and performs faculty and student needs assessments. Builds connections with faculty and department heads in order to serve the needs of faculty, students and programs. Collaborates with the Curriculum Coordinator to provide recommendations for curriculum design and supports efforts to revise curriculum. Designs and delivers faculty training on the implementation of the College’s Instructional Design Standards (IDS). Assists faculty with the implementation of the Instructional Design Standards. Works collaboratively with the Office of Distance Learning and the IDS Core Team to facilitate the IDS Faculty Certification Program and continuously improve the standards and processes.A bachelor’s degree and related instructional experience.Master’s degree and higher education teaching experience.
