What You'll Be Doing
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner closely with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance, identify and mitigate risks, and foster operational excellence across our annuity business.
  • Expert Advisory Role : Provide insightful legal advice to senior business members on all facets of the annuity business, including the development of complex fixed, fixed indexed, and variable annuity products.
  • Problem-Solving and Resolution : Work hands-on with internal clients to analyze and resolve service and operational issues, ensuring smooth and efficient business operations.
  • Comprehensive Legal Support : Offer legal support and guidance to various departments, including sales, distribution, marketing, operations, and compliance, to facilitate informed decision-making and compliance with legal requirements.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: Hold a Juris Doctorate degree (JD) from an accredited institution.
  • Industry Experience: Possess a minimum of 10 years of legal experience in the financial or insurance industry, demonstrating a deep understanding of federal securities laws, including FINRA Rules, and state insurance law.
  • Annuity Expertise : Have advanced knowledge of annuity service, operations, and regulatory requirements, along with experience in SEC registration statement filings for annuities and state product filings.
