As of June 1, 2023, the new salary range will be $38,516 - $57,775.
Saturday and Sunday Day Shift: 10%Saturday and Sunday Evening Shift:30%
Monday - Friday Evening: 20%;Friday, Saturday, Sunday Night Shift: 30%Monday - Thursday Night Shift: 20%
Shift Premium Pay for 12 Hour Shifts:
7am-7:30pm (no premiums)
7:00pm-7:30am (eligible for evening shift premium rates)Per G.S. 126-5 (c1) (37), this position is Exempt from all provisions of NC General Statute Chapter 126 (State Human Resources Act) with the exception of Articles 6 and 7.The Licensed Practical Nurse assists the Registered Nurse, Medical and Psychiatric Team in meeting each individual patient's practicable level of independence and function through medical and psychosocial intervention, administering medication and evaluating the patient's response to care. Licensed Practical Nurse will take part in interdisciplinary team process, assist in managing difficult behavior and provide guidance to Health Care Technicians (Nurse Aide I) during day to day activity in daily living. Longleaf Neuro Medical Treatment Center (LNMTC) is a certified Medicare and Medicaid facility nursing home that provides a continuum of care to both adults with severe and persistent mental illness that also have long-term medical conditions requiring residential, medical and nursing care, and to adults with a diagnosis of Alzheimer's or other related dementia. LNMTC facilitates high quality skilled and intermediate nursing care throughout four Nursing Unit Floors and an Alzheimer's Unit that operates 24 hours seven days a week, with 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts. THIS POSITION IS DESIGNATED MANDATORY AND MUST REPORT OR STAY OVER DURING ADVERSE WEATHER EVENTS OR OTHER EMERGENCIES.
Shift preferences will be discussed in the interview and will depend on staffing needs. Alternative schedules may be available in addition to our traditional work schedules listed below. Work schedules include weekend and holiday rotations. Flexibility is required for training/education purposes and to meet facility needs.1st shift (days) 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM

- Working knowledge of nursing techniques, procedures, theory and practices.
- Working knowledge of sanitation, personal hygiene, basic health and safety practices.
- Working knowledge of proper dosage, effects & contraindications.
- Skill in routine medical procedures (i.e. basic wound care including cleaning and bandaging injured areas, taking vital signs, such as blood pressure temperature, and weight, collect specimens, etc.).
