Hiring Agency: Health & Human Services - Agency 25 Location: DHHS Local Office - Scottsbluff Hiring Rate: $23.022 Classification Salary Range: $23.02 - $34.53 Job Posting: JR2024-00005025 Foster Care Resource Developer Supervisor (Open) Applications No Longer Accepted On (If no date is displayed, job is posted as open until closed): Job Description: In this position, you will serve as a Foster Care Resource Developer Supervisor. This position will specialize in providing support to foster homes as well as reviewing and managing foster parent licenses in the State of Nebraska. As a Foster Care Resource Developer, you will: *Supervise a team of Foster Care Resource Developers who are responsible for providing in person support to relative and kinship foster homes as well as traditionally licensed foster homes in Western Nebraska. *Ensure compliance of all foster homes with Nebraska foster care regulations and provide second level review of all foster parent applications and approvals. *Ensure foster parent files are accurate and in compliance with Federal Title IV-E regulations. *Work closely with various foster care agencies in the State of Nebraska including problem solving, placement matching and recruitment. *Work closely with various teams within the State of Nebraska to serve youth in foster care. Provider after hours support and guidance to on-call workers needing to locate foster care placement for children and youth. *Enjoy the ability to work independently within your team, utilize your strong leadership and communication skills to drive the performance of your team, be adaptable and driven. Requirements / Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Post high school coursework/training in social work, sociology, counseling, guidance, psychology, child development or related field AND experience in resource development, eligibility determination or contract monitoring within a public service organization. OR Bachelor's degree in any of the fields listed above. Preferred Qualifications: Previous Child and Family Services experience in Resource Development; or as either an ongoing or initial assessment worker. Knowledge of NFOCUS, Salesforce, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience working with child placing agencies. Ot: Valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation. Knowledge of: the principles and practices of social work; federal and State laws; regulations and guidelines concerning service delivery; the principles of individual and group behavior; the techniques of counseling; community service and service organizations. Skill in: interviewing to collect and elicit essential information; communicating to receive and relay information; listen to and understand information received; use keyboard. Ability to: learn and apply methods and procedures of Human Services Resource Development; learn and apply agency policies, procedures, programs and philosophy; protect confidential information; interact with community leaders; apply problem solving techniques to a variety of different circumstances; assess customer needs to provide proper services and financial assistance; manage multiple files and records; collect and maintain data and analyze for trends; prepare written case histories and reports.
