What you'll do:

This is responsible work in the operation of the warehouse storeroom servicing an agency or facility. An employee in this class is responsible for the operation of the warehouse; the ordering, storage, and distribution of items in a moderate size storeroom with a specialized inventory. Work may include assisting higher level storekeepers in the operation of a large centralized warehouse by developing orders, keeping inventory and other records, and related duties. Work includes ordering parts and supplies, unloading and storing stock, issuing items, moving heavy furniture and appliances, taking inventory and keeping records on a variety of supply items. Work is reviewed by a higher level storekeeper or other administrative supervisor who inspects records and conditions of stock.

Knowledge, skills & abilities

Knowledge of inventory materials and store keeping practices. Ability to maintain accurate records. Ability to operate a motor vehicle and/or warehouse equipment. Ability to lift, carry, and move items.

All you need for success:

• Must be 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Drivers License
• 0-2 years of related experience (Substitutions may be allowed)
