What you'll do:

This is responsible work in the operation of a canteen, gift shop or storeroom servicing an agency or facility.

An employee in this class is responsible for the operation of a canteen or gift shop; or for the ordering, storage, and distribution of items in a moderate size storeroom with a specialized inventory. Work may include assisting higher level storekeepers in the operation of a large, centralized warehouse by developing orders, keeping inventory and other records, and related duties. Work includes ordering parts and supplies, marking and storing stock, issuing or selling items, taking inventory, shopping for additional supplies or stock, and keeping records on a variety of store items. The employee may supervise Stores Clerks, facility residents or other subordinates involved in storing and issuing supplies. Work is reviewed by a higher-level storekeeper or other administrative supervisor who inspects records and conditions of stock.

Knowledge, skills & abilities:

Knowledge of inventory materials and store keeping practices. Ability to maintain accurate records. Ability to supervise and work alongside patient workers. Ability to lift, carry, and move items.

All you need for success:

• Must be 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or GED
• 0-2 years of related experience (Substitutions may be allowed)
