State of Missouri is Hiring a Project Specialist (3111904) Near Jefferson City, MO

Job Location: This position will be located at 912 Wildwood Drive, Jefferson City in the Emergency Response Center

If this sounds interesting to you, the Public Health Emergency Response Center (ERC) is looking for someone who communicates well, has the ability to make quick decisions and strong computer skills to work as a Duty Officer in the ERC!

What you’ll do:

  • Answer the public health emergency hotline;
  • Be available to work some weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays;
  • Monitor web-based systems for situational awareness;
  • Maintain ERC computers and other equipment for 24/7 operational readiness;
  • Follow established policies and protocols.

All you need for success:

Minimum Qualifications

  • The ideal person for this position will possess strong critical thinking skills, high level of commitment, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be detailed-oriented.
  • This position is part of an exceptional team, but works independently most of the time.
  • Proficiency in computer operations is necessary, including ability to use Excel, Outlook, Word, and Access programs.
  • Prior experience in emergency response, public health, and/or customer service is preferred.
