Investigations Manager

DWC / Fraud & Noncompliance

Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000

What you will do:

  • Direct, plan, and analyze daily operations of the Fraud and Noncompliance Unit
  • Conduct fraud and noncompliance investigations, and provide guidance and assistance to other investigators preparing for and investigating allegations of fraud and noncompliance, under the Workers’ Compensation Law
  • Develop impactful performance metrics and management plans, conduct performance evaluations and analyze data in order to proactively identify areas for improvement
  • Actively participate in forward-thinking modernization discussions and champion modernization efforts within the Fraud and Noncompliance Unit and across the Division
  • Represent the Fraud and Noncompliance Unit at various governmental, civic and labor functions and provide educational and informational presentations explaining statutory and regulatory requirements in regards to the Workers’ Compensation Law
  • Review written investigation reports for clarity, investigative sufficiency, and timeliness
  • Recommend investigations for referral to the Office of the Attorney General for possible prosecution

All you need for success:

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of relavent experience (substitutions may be allowed for degree)

Desired Attributes

  • Expert knowledge of the workers’ compensation system and policies
  • Insurance related designations such as CPCU, CIC, ARM, etc.
  • Ability to utilize technology to facilitate process improvements and enhance efficiencies
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the procedural requirements and differences of administrative, criminal, and civil cases
  • Comprehensive knowledge of investigative techniques and procedures to include interviewing, evidence collection and preservation, and documentation of case information
  • Ability to review and/or prepare and present expert testimony and evidence to prosecutors, administrative review boards, grand juries, and court officials
  • Possess strong leadership and management skills
  • Ability to manage change, provide program management, and achieve results
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current investigative issues and theories
