St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center - South is looking for a positive and energetic Director of Volunteer Services supporting the Forensic Treatment Centers (FTC) of St. Louis. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
Responsibilities:
This position will work as the Director of Volunteer Services, and in that capacity: (a) will staff the FTC endowment board, Helping Hands for FTC; (b) serve as the liaison with the Auxiliaries for both campuses (North & South), supervising Canteen and Gift Shop personnel; (c) recruit, coordinate and oversee any additional volunteers at either campus of FTC; (d) coordinate with Human Resources and the supervising department the onboarding and oversight of non-compensated students in support of FTC partnership with local universities and colleges to facilitate service provision and support long-term recruitment goals, including orientation and training; (e) publishing the hospital newsletter, the Pulse; (f) coordinating the Missouri Employee Charitable Campaign for FTC; (g) coordination with the Employee Relation and Recognition Committee(s) on celebratory and recognition events.
Additional duties include: Solicit and deploy other Volunteers in support of other functions at FTC (clothing room, friendly visitation, etc.); assist the Employee Relations and Recognition Committee at FTC in various activities in support of the committee’s efforts to employee morale and various recognition activities; also other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 15 earned credit hours in one or a combination of the following: Business or Public Administration, Public Relations, Education, Nursing, Recreation, social or behavioral sciences, or a closely related field; and
One or more years of paid or volunteer experience in public relations, community organization, coordination or community services activities, or a closely related area. Additional qualifying experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis for deficiencies in the required education.
