State of Missouri is Hiring a Behavioral Technician for South County Habilitation Center Near Saint Louis, MO

BEHAVIORAL TECHNICIAN

St. Louis Developmental Disabilities Treatment Centers

Expected Salary: $40,810.22 – Annually/$1700.43 – Semi-monthly

For Teams 2 and 3, an additional $2.00/hour Shift Differential

St. Louis Developmental Disabilities Treatment Centers currently has openings for a Behavioral Technician at South County Habilitation Center. Looking to fill 5 (five) positions for evening and night shifts with varying sequential days off per position. However, flexibility with working hours (including evenings and nights) will be necessary. Below are the times and days off of the available positions.

Team 2: 2:30pm-11:00pm

Team 3: 10:45pm-6:45am

Tuesdays and Wednesdays

Mondays and Tuesdays

Wednesdays and Thursdays

Tuesdays and Wednesdays

Thursdays and Fridays

Job Duties:

This is semi-skilled direct care work implementing behavioral interventions for persons with developmental disabilities.

  • Implementing the individual support plan and behavioral support techniques developed by the behavior resource team for consumers potentially requiring more restrictive environments due to their behaviors and/or medical needs.
  • Responding to crisis situations and implement interventions established until behavior is safe.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of standard behavior modification techniques, including receiving an Advanced Skills certificate of the Safety Care program within 1 year of appointment.
  • Ability to work effectively on a team, and to work where needed to fill open spots.
  • Ability to lift clients and assist in performing transfers and basic ADL and use of hands-on skills (dependent care).
  • All training must be up-to-date including CORE, CPR, and First Aid.
  • Able to drive adaptive bus, with training.
  • Must be able to commence performance of the new position duties within five (5) calendar days of acceptance.

Eligibility Requirements:

1 year of relevant experience and a valid driver’s license.
