Associate Research/Data Analyst (MVDL)

Annual Salary: $45,000 to $56,000

Location: Truman Building - 301 West High Street, Jefferson City, MO

HOW THIS POSITION SUPPORTS THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION:

This is an entry-level position for the Motor Vehicle and Driver Licensing Division and will bring together both operational processes and data analytics to identify and communicate data-driven insights that allow business leaders to make more informed decisions. DUTIES PERFORMED TO SUPPORT THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION:

• Assist Division Director and Division Deputy Director on division projects
• Assist the Operations Coordinator on division dashboards
• Collect, clean, validate, and analyze Divisional data to develop visualizations and dashboards within Tableau and Excel to make meaningful conclusions and develop actionable insights to Division leaders
• Assist the continuous evolution of dashboard by incorporating key performance measures with new ways to visualize data
• Identify potential efficiencies by bridging the gap between analytics and existing processes
• Write reports based on their findings and communicate findings to key team members
• Work with Division team members to understand and document the business processes
• Develop and maintain working relationships with Division team members to assist in continuous improvement efforts
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1 - 3 years of Tableau experience and/or appropriate certification. Bachelor’s degree preferred . (Substitutions may be allowed.)
• Proficient computer and analytical skills
• Organized, methodical approach to problem-solving
• Ability to communicate with people at all levels within the Department
