About this position:
The Family and Children’s Electronic System (FACES) Team is looking for a highly motivated person seeking an entry-level position that will provide an opportunity to grow and to exhibit their application development skills. This is a technical position that maintains all components of the FACES system across multiple platforms, languages, and technologies. This position works independently under supervision to perform software analysis and design. FACES is Missouri’s Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System (SACWIS), which provides an automated, integrated case management tool for Department of Social Services Children’s Division staff.
This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) supporting Department of Social Services (DSS).

Duties and Responsibilities:
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent verbal & written communication skills & the ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers, subordinates, and management is necessary. An employee in this position must possess the ability to learn to review and analyze programs in one or more of the following languages: COBOL, Javascript, VB.Net, CSS, SQL. Position will focus on application development so a solid understanding of all phases of the software life cycle is required.
