Job Location:

  • The office for this position is located at 1738 East Elm Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101.
  • Candidates who complete a successful onboarding and training period may be eligible to work at an alternate location in compliance with OA-ITSD's Distributed Workforce Plan.

About this position:

As an Applications Developer, one will perform analysis, design, coding and testing on multiple Adobe Forms. Perform analysis, design, coding and testing on multiple .NET applications. Perform maintenance, develop enhancements, and process system change requests. Programming work is of moderate to high complexity. Perform research to provide information to supervisor and customers and identify causes of problems reported and logged in the JIRA System. Accept guidance and advice from senior level staff as needed to complete assignments in timely manner. Update system documentation including specification and design documents. Training, mentoring less experienced staff, other duties as assigned.

This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) supporting Department of Social Services (DSS).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Adobe AEM Adaptive Form Development and Maintenance.
  • Adobe PDF Development and Maintenance.
  • Full Stack Software Development (Database, Application, User Interface).
  • System Development Life Cycle (Planning, Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, Implementation, Maintenance, Documentation).
  • Electronic Content Management.
  • Developer’s Environment Configuration (Visual Studios, WebSphere).
  • Disaster Recovery Exercises.
  • Application Security Scanning.
  • Performs code reviews, testing, and mentoring to ensure coding standards are met and verifies the code changes completed.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

The ability to quickly have an overall understanding of the business systems we support as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral). The employee should be self-motivated with good organizational skills and attention to detail. Good analytical skills and experience with .Net architecture, object oriented principals. Lead projects using an Agile Development style. Have the ability to be innovative and present new ideas, as well as have knowledge in the following.
