You’ll be joining the Missouri Department of Natural Resources’ Waste Management Program Engineering Section, where science and policy meet to safely manage and operate a Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) hazardous waste management facility. While your primary emphasis will be permitting hazardous waste treatment, storage and disposal facilities; you will also have the opportunity to broaden your knowledge about the design and operation of solid waste processing facilities and disposal areas. You’ll work with a diverse group of team members and stakeholders to ensure hazardous waste management in Missouri meets regulatory requirements for protection of human health and the environment.
This position is with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Division of Environmental Quality, Waste Management Program, and will be located at 1730 East Elm St., Jefferson City, MO 65101. The normal scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; however, there is flexibility in scheduling and the ability to work from home two days out of the week.
