This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) supporting the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations (DOLIR).

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Advise staff in the adoption of industry-standard best practices and methodologies.
• Monitor the Maintenance calendar and work with other SDC teams to ensure smooth adoption and minimal impact of architectural changes.
• Assist in establishing a set of core competencies within the cross-functional teams, as well as improving internal software development processes.
• Review project plans, SOW’s, RFP’s and PAQ’s with an eye for feasibility, security, and cost analysis.
• Provides complex technical support and coordination on security and server upgrades, decommissioning hardware and software, and vendor relations.
• Direct interaction and advisement of all functional teams within ITSD.
• Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Minimum 7 years in the IT industry with emphasis on Application Development and Architecture.
• Comprehensive understanding of Software Development Life-cycle and best practices.
• Familiar with project planning, budgeting, and workflow diagram.
• Experience with a broad array of software development, workflow, and modeling tools.
• Strong analysis, critical thinking, and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
