State of Missouri is Hiring an Administrative Support Professional - SLR0002 Near St. Louis, MO

This position will be located at the St. Louis Regional Office, 7545 S. Lindbergh Blvd., Ste. 210, St. Louis, MO 63125.

  • Supervise a unit of 5 administrative support assistants that provide HR, fleet, purchasing, accounts payable and receivable, and file management services to the regional office
  • Create and update visualizations to support team member performance metrics, using software including Excel, SharePoint, and Tableau
  • Run reports and set up data connections, analyze data, create models and visualizations, and communicate findings to supervisors and team members
  • Interpret policy documents from multiple sources, synthesize material, and deliver presentations on office procedures
  • Collaborate with office leadership to create and update policy and procedure documents; maintain procedure document library; and research and reference policy documents to address questions from team members

To be successful in this position, a candidate will need the following skills:

  • Process Control: Knowledge of the principles, methods, and procedures used for the automated control of a process, including the design, development, and maintenance of associated software, hardware, and systems.
  • Financial Management: Prepares, justifies, and/or administers the budget for program areas; plans, administers, and monitors expenditures to ensure cost-effective support of programs and policies; assesses financial condition of an organization.
  • Problem Solving: Identifies and analyzes problems; weighs relevance and accuracy of information; generates and evaluates alternative solutions; makes recommendations.
  • Customer Service: Anticipates and meets the needs of both internal and external customers. Delivers high-quality products and services; is committed to continuous improvement.
  • Planning and Evaluating: Organizes work, sets priorities, and determines resource requirements; determines short- or long-term goals and strategies to achieve them; coordinates with other organizations or parts of the organization to accomplish goals; monitors progress and evaluates outcomes.
  • Performance Management: Knowledge of performance management concepts, principles, and practices related to planning, monitoring, rating, and rewarding employee performance.

Equivalent to those typically gained by:

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in supervision, administrative assistance, or data analysis

(Additional education or experience may substitute for the required education or experience)

Training, certification, and/or education in continuous process improvement programs such as Lean Six Sigma as well as completion of Missouri Way, Leadership Academy, and similar programs is preferred.
