This position provides para-professional accounting work by applying independent decision-making and professional judgment in all assigned areas. To receive credit for your education and experience, your resume should clearly describe how you meet each minimum and preferred qualification listed, including dates of employment.
One (1) year of experience performing accounting tasks
OR
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or other closely related field as determined by the agency.
Applicants that meet the above minimum qualification will be further evaluated on the following:
Skill in customer service to provide prompt, courteous, and accurate information to customers
Ability to use spreadsheet software applications, such as Microsoft Excel, to enter, compile, store, and retrieve data in a variety of reports
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to analyze and interpret financial records, locate basic errors, and recommend solutions to minor fiscal issues
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in accounting, finance, or other closely related field as determined by the agency
