GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Fiscal unit of the Department of Administrative Services seeks an Accountant 2, who under general supervision, performs working-level accounting duties on the general ledger according to DOAS-established policies and standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). These responsibilities include but are not limited to analyzing financial information and preparing reports.
Job Responsibilities
The Accountant 2 will be a subject matter expert or organization resource in assigned areas.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
This position may require some travel.
Completion of a pre-employment background check is required.
DOAS participates in a hybrid work environment and
telework is encouraged with some days in the office required
MINIMUM ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of professional accounting job-related experience;
Or One (1) year of experience at the lower level Accountant 1 (FIP020) or equivalent position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess one or more of the following items below.
Three or more years of experience working in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and general accounting environment.
