Description

Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) FULL-TIME, PART-TIME, or PRN

Seeking a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist in Johnson City, TN at our SOFHA Sleep Center.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collect, analyze, and integrate patient information.
  • Complete and verify documentation.
  • Explain pre-testing, testing, and post-testing procedures to the patient and answer any questions or concerns.
  • Prepare/Calibrate equipment required for testing.
  • Apply electrodes and sensors according to published standards.
  • Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) mask fittings.
  • Home Study Testing (HST) set up and management.
  • Durable Medical Equipment (DME) processing and compliance.
  • Follow procedural protocols (MSLT, MWT, parasomnia studies, PAP, oxygen titration, etc.)
  • Polysomnographic data acquisition while monitoring study-tracing quality ensuring signals are artifact-free.
  • Document routine observations: sleep stages and clinical/significant events.

REQUIREMENTS:

Associate degree with an emphasis in polysomnography or completion of a polysomnography program of no less than one year duration associated with a state license and/or a nationally accredited educational facility.

EXPERIENCE:

Two years of experience and documented proficiency at all competencies required of a Polysomnographic Technologist.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist
