Patient Service Representative
Seeking a Patient Service Representative in the East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia region to join one of our various State of Franklin Healthcare Associates outpatient clinics. Office hours typically 8-5, Monday through Friday.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review demographics, insurance and provider information, and update records accordingly
- Instruct new patients to complete all required paperwork and create new account in the computer system
- Obtain copy of patients’ insurance card and driver license
- Update electronic medical record system (EMR) and take patients’ photo
- Provide patient with the SOFHA payment and privacy policy
- Answer patient questions and concerns
- Schedule/Reschedule patient appointments
- Collect payment and notate on the patient encounter form
- Route telephone calls and record/deliver messages accordingly
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent and knowledge of grammar, punctuation and sentence structure are required.
EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience in a medical office or customer service position is desirable. Basic knowledge of insurance and billing procedures, including ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS coding is desired as applicable.
