State Of Franklin Healthcare Group is Hiring an INSURANCE ACCOUNT REPRESENTATIVE Near Kingsport, TN

Insurance Account Representative

Seeking an Insurance Account Representative at our Central Billing Office. Office hours typically 8-5, Monday through Friday.

State of Franklin Healthcare Associates is a physician-led and team member-owned multi-specialty care group of more than 250 providers and 900 team members headquartered in Johnson City, TN with 35 locations in the upper East Tennessee & Southwest Virginia region. Our mission is to improve the health and well-being of our patients and our team members.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review and appeal claim denials from third-party carriers as justified.
  • Comply with HCFA’s billing guidelines.
  • Follow-up on unpaid third-party carrier claims.
  • Proper documentation; operative notes, progress notes, consent forms, referral forms, and primary EOB’s.
  • Transfer unpaid insurance balances to the guarantor.
  • Answer patient phone calls and assist patients with resolving unpaid third-party claims.
  • Identify problem payers and report them to the CBO manager.
  • Balance all postings.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED.

EXPERIENCE:

Two years of insurance billing and follow-up experience in the medical field or additional related education may be substituted for the two years of insurance experience.
