HVAC Technician

Seeking an HVAC Technician in Johnson City, TN to join our Facilities team.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Directly or indirectly supports the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems.
• Performs minor repairs to HVAC components (filters, belts, etc.).
• Performs preventative maintenance duties related to building HVAC components.
• Diagnoses electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
• Cleans and adjusts HVAC systems.
• Performs all work to industry standards, maintaining a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.

• Maintains knowledge of OSHA safety standards and the use/care of tools and equipment used in facilities and grounds maintenance and property repairs.
• Responds to tenant work orders, makes necessary repairs, and documents status using a work order management system.
• Keeps updated records of maintenance tasks.
• Completes office or location moves for company personnel and special event setup/tear down.
• Performs security check of all outside entrances.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma required. Technical training, apprenticeships or related experience and/or training is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

• Commercial HVAC experience of 3 years or more preferred.
• Five or more years of construction, property management, and property maintenance experience, preferably in a health care setting, preferred.
• Must have general maintenance experience, ideally with commercial building maintenance. Working knowledge of HVAC systems. Additional skills related to electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting preferred. Must be able to drive, operate power tools, coordinate fine motor skills and measurements, lift, and move a wide range of weighted materials. interpersonal communication and skills. Effective at completing assigned work professionally and completely to avoid call backs or re-work.
