Your Specific Responsibilities:

The incumbent is part of a global public health organization and is expected to support the Florida Department of Health in Monroe County in its mission to protect, promote and improve the health of all people in Florida through integrated state, county and community efforts and its vision to be the Healthiest State in the Nation. Furthermore, the incumbent is expected to incorporate the agency values of Innovation, Collaboration, Accountability,
Responsiveness and Excellence in all aspects of their work. This position is under the general supervision of the County Health Department Administrator. Complies with and monitors compliance (when applicable) with mandatory requirements in Section 215.422, Florida Statues, and Chapter 3A-24, Florida Administrative Code. This position will require routine travel between the clinics in Marathon and Tavernier and may require travel to other DOH Clinical sites in Monroe County based on agency need.
 

New User Setup:

  • Configures, installs, maintains, and support end-user computer workstation equipment, wireless devices, all external peripheral devices in Monroe County Health Department offices and Remote Teleworker Offices.
  • Setup, configure, install, maintain, and support various hardware and software applications.

Inventory:

  • Replace existing technology based on Manufacture End of Life Service (EOL) Agreements. Relocate equipment as needed from one location to the new location.
  • Verify operation of the system hardware and applications.
  • Prepare older, replaced computers for surplus by following the established processes and guidelines.
  • Coordinate service calls for warranty and non-warranty items for repair.
  • Document equipment relocations into the inventory system.
  • Manage AT&T and Avaya Data Networks track and control the mobile devices and operating systems connecting to their networks. Access and provide streamline mobility by enabling device diagnostics, hotspot management and unified endpoint management (UEM) services.
  • Assists with Audio Visual and videoconferencing needs for the Department of Health in Monroe County

Acts as backup for the Senior Network Systems Analyst.

  • Will create and manage objects in Active Directory.
  • Be able to create and deploy SCCM images using imaging software such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.
  • Train users on a variety of subjects from new user orientation to the use of software.

Help desk functions:

  • Perform troubleshooting remotely or in person, to determine and apply the best solution for the situation.
  • Consult with the Helpdesk Team Lead to assist with complex or unfamiliar issues.
  • Record computer issues and resolutions in the Helpdesk ticketing system.

General:

  • Completes EARS, Timesheets, and People First Entries within mandatory timeframes.
  • Schedules time off in advance and collaborates with supervisor to ensure work responsibilities are covered when absent.
  • Complies with SMART expectations related to position.
  • Communicates, collaborates, and assists other professionals and paraprofessionals in other units within the agency (Examples: health fairs, immunization outreaches, disaster support)
  • Attends and participates in quality improvement activities and staff meetings.

Performs other related duties as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to troubleshoot various manufacturers of computer equipment including Dell and Hewlett Packard from the component board level to an external device such as a keyboard, monitor or printer,
  • knowledge of Microsoft Operation Systems, office products and Outlook email in a network environment. Anility to work independently.
  •  Ability to communicate effective both verbally and in writing.
  •  Ability to plan, organize, manage, and track projects.
  •  Ability to stay focused.
  • Ability to research information.
  •  Ability to make quick decisions, solver problems, remain flexible and keep a positive attitude.
  •  Ability to read, understand and comply with the Department’s policies, procedures, guidelines, and practices relating to desktop standards.
  • Knowledge of evaluation methods and practices

  • Maintains current Driver’s License
