Your Specific Responsibilities :
This position is assigned to the Operations and Managment Consultant II to perform chair-side assistance to the dentist.
This position requires close interaction between patients, the dentist, and other dental staff. The ability to communicate effectively and maintain professionalism and confidentiality are key components of this position.
The assistant must be competent in assisting with preventive, therapeutic and surgical clinical procedures (i.e. dental prophylaxis, dental sealants, dental restorations, and dental extractions).
The assistant may be required to travel between Dental offices (Orange City and Daytona Beach). Degree / License / Certification : Must have a High School Diploma or its equivalent.
Expanded Functions Dental Assistant, Radiology Certificate, Certification in Basic Life Support.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Skilled in placing dental sealants, assisting dentist and skilled in working independently.

Must have an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certificate
Must have a Florida Dental Radiography Certificate
Must have a certification in Basic Life Support
Must be able to work as a team with others
Preferred -
Graduate from a formal accredited dental assisting school with 6 months dental assisting experience.
Requires an understanding of the dental operations, understand compliance and quality requirements related to the provision of dental care services and demonstrated success working with the dentist.
Experience with pediatric patients, Sterilizing instruments, assists dentist with dental procedures, exposes dental x-rays, instructing patients in oral hygiene instuctions
