THIS POSITION IS NOT REMOTE.
The Program Data Specialist (PDS) is responsible for monitoring program data to ensure Head Start Program Performance Standards (HSPPS) standards are met and maintained at all MHEL and partnership sites. The PDS will ensure accountability to timelines and compliance according to HSPPS, organizational tracking, and all reporting frameworks. The PDS will analyze and interpret data and provide reports and reporting dashboards for diverse internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Maintains accountability to and quality control for all family and child data systems utilized by the Agency to assure compliance with program performance standards, regulations and requirements within the agency's mission, vision, values, philosophy, and business operations.
  • Communicates established data quality standards and collaborates with team leads across departments to ensure standards are met.
  • Develops expertise and utilizes all program software systems with accuracy and assures timely completion of data entry for all required program elements.
  • Develops, coordinates, and produces monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as assigned by the program for management, state and federal reporting requirements.
  • Enter a variety of program related data in program data management systems.
  • Maintains integrity of family & child data information system by troubleshooting, problem solving and applying current updates.
  • Streamlines record-keeping, tracking and monitoring systems to ensure appropriate use of data management systems.
  • Makes recommendations for improvements to systems as needed.
  • Implements proper data collection tools and follows instructions and procedures according to each established tool.
  • Supports with data entry and management for Head Start and Early Head Start partner programs to ensure compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards
  • Discusses issues and concerns regarding data with appropriate individuals to troubleshoot, determine follow up, and facilitate resolution.
  • Attends Policy Council and/or Policy Committee meetings to capture accurate meeting documentation and provide timely meeting minutes to appropriate parties.
  • Support with physical data management including creating and maintaining child and family files and other documentation required for compliance with all reporting body standards.
  • Supports Enrollment Coordinator daily with, but not limited to, filing, Income Eligibility Forms (IEF), Denver Preschool Program (DPP), Denver Public Schools Identification (DPS ID) numbers, and data entry.
  • Input child and family applications for enrollment into the database.
  • Support with compiling and inputting partner site information into a spreadsheet and or database.

Requirements
Required Position Qualifications / Certificates / Licenses (Required):
  • Associate degree in information management, or related field
  • 2 years proven working experience providing data accountability to various constituencies.
  • Proficiency with computer-based software including Word, Excel, and Windows and the ability to learn various computer software.
  • Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written communications.
  • Ability to work individually and as a team member.
  • Clearance of CBI/Central Registry check and post-employment physical
