The salary range for this position is:
$32.74 - $43.32 Hourly
$2,619.23 - $3,465.69 Biweekly
$5,675.00 - $7,509.00 Monthly
$68,100.00 - $90,108.00 Annually
The Organizational Development and Training Unit is a sub-team within Human Resources, whose purpose is to support the strategic direction of Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) and to enhance the development of leadership talent and the effective utilization of human resources, including leadership development, talent planning, performance management, individual development, coaching and change management. ODT develops and administers initiatives at an individual, group, and company-wide level in support of strategic initiatives, organizational health, and continuous improvement. Responsible for partnering with all levels of the organization to support achievement of their objectives and assures a balance of service to all stakeholders.
ODT has an organization-wide focus in Leadership Development and training that supports and implements positive culture change through developing Supervisors and Managers and key initiatives. Organizational Development and Training promotes and integrates the values based culture and strategic initiatives into the heart of CDLE’s community. ODT guides organizational development by delivering integrated products and services focused on the success of the people, processes, systems, and structures.
This position is responsible for setting the training curriculum for new employee and new supervisor training at CDLE. It is also responsible for the creation and maintenance of instructional materials and tools, including e-learning modules, instructor-led classroom training (ILT) and virtual instructor-led training ( VILT) course materials, and overseeing various administrative aspects of the organization's learning management system (Cornerstone) for the Organizational Development and Training team. This position oversees the evaluation of new and existing courses. This position is a subject matter expert for micro, blended and e-learning practices, accessibility, and for soft-skills training throughout CDLE. The position researches and analyzes subject matter, training technologies, accessibility best practices and training methodologies to maximize active student learning and positively impact the organization. Is an expert in instructional design and accessibility, developing accessible courses and creating curriculum based on instructional design industry standards, application of adult learning theory, the knowledge of subject matter experts and expectations of leaders and other internal stakeholders. This position creates training programs in the areas of compliance, computer skills, professional skills, and individual and leadership development, delivered in a variety of modalities, including e-learning, instructor-led and blended learning. Consults with individuals and units to provide customized training solutions. Facilitates events, presentations, meetings and training classes. This position measures and evaluates the success of programs and makes adjustments to improve efficiency and effectiveness. This position establishes strong working relationships with employees, leadership, department committees, internal customers, and other training organizations to ensure successful delivery of products and services. Participates and engages in organization-wide committees and initiatives.

Experience Only:
Seven (7) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position to include instructional design and building e-learning for adult learners in a business setting.
OR
Education and Experience:
A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to seven (7) years
Preferred Qualifications:Project Management
Experience on a Human Resources Team
Building soft skills & job specific training
Instructional design Certification
Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) Certification
Experience with Articulate Storyline 360 software
Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD/CPLP) Certification
Previous experience performing similar duties as a State of Colorado classified employee.

While a salary range is posted for this position, an eventual salary offer is determined by a comprehensive salary analysis, which considers multiple factors including but not limited to education and experience compared to others in the organization doing substantially similar work.
