Job Description

The Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Division of Commercial Fisheries Entry Commission is recruiting for a Research Analyst 3 located in Juneau!

What you will be doing:

Supports CFEC statutory requirements by: assisting in the development of monthly and annual permit value estimations, developing analyses and determinations on permits and earnings for the Board of Fish, assisting with Gross Earnings through inter-agency participation, and by producing reports for CFEC and other agencies. Additionally the incumbent assist in determining the maximum and optimum number of permits when CFEC limits future entry in fisheries through the Limited Entry Act.

Our office is located in Juneau at 8800 Glacier Highway with close proximity to the Gastineau Channel and the Tongass National Forest.

Minimum Qualifications

Under AS 39.25.110(D), the Commercial Fisheries Entry Commission (CFEC) is exempt from the provision of the State Personnel Act, which includes the merit system and recruitment, and this position serves at the pleasure of the Commissioners. No minimum qualifications have been established for this position. Screening criteria will be determined by the appointing authority.
