What you will be doing:The primary goal of this position is to facilitate sustainable development of through sound environmental practices by ensuring that the State of Alaska and other Airport stakeholders maintain compliance with all applicable Federal, State and Local environmental laws. This position requires knowledge of the: Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA (Hazardous Waste), as well as Contaminated Site investigation and remediation. The position will also monitor tenant activities to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations to prevent Airport properties from becoming contaminated or incurring additional environmental liabilities.

Equivalent to those typically gained by:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college in an environmental, physical, biological, or natural science; engineering; planning; or natural resources.
AND
Professional experience developing knowledge and skills in environmental regulations, pollution control, environmental damage recovery, or programs to improve or protect environmental quality; or learning to evaluate the potential environmental and socio-economic impacts of construction projects; prepare environmental documentation; and determine, negotiate, and monitor permitted activities.
